Due to a variety of circumstances, the Southwest Florida Council will not present the Kayak Fishing Classic in 2010. I would like to thank everyone who has participated in the event, both as sponsors and anglers, for the past four years. Your participation has greatly benefited the Boy Scout program in Southwest Florida.

There will be a kayak fishing tournament in Southwest Florida in 2010, however. The Calusa Blueway Paddling Festival tournament will be in November, and all of the information is below. Please plan to participate and we will see you there.

Join the Calusa Blueway Paddling Festival’s annual kayak fishing tournament along the Beaches of Fort Myers & Sanibel.

It’s Saturday, Nov. 6, in Lee County waterways with a digital weigh-in on Pine Island that afternoon. Captains’ meeting will be Friday, Nov. 5, in Fort Myers.
